Home Sweet Home

Our homes are such special places to be. Our homes should be a place for us all to grow and to learn to love and live together. Home is where we should enrich family life and return to family values.

Home

Home is where your memories are,
It’s where your secrets are kept.
Home is where you’re happiest,
Yet home is where you’ve wept.

Home is where your parents live,
It’s where you were raised.
Home is where you’ve been scolded most,
Yet home is where you’re praised.

Home is where you make it,
It’s where you believe the myth,
That home is when you’re happy,
Just to love the ones you’re with.

My Thoughts Exactly

"What would the world do without tea?-- how did it exist?
I am glad I was not born before tea."--

A Prayer To Share

"Lord, You know my inadequacies. You know my weaknesses, not only in parenting but in every area of my life. I'm doing the best I can to raise my kids properly, but it may not be good enough. As you provided the fish and the loaves to feed the five thousand hungry people, now take my meager effort and use it to bless my family. Make up for the things I do wrong. Satisfy the needs that I have not met. Compensate for my blunders and mistakes. Wrap your great arms around my children and draw them close to You. And be there when they stand at the great crossroads between right and wrong. All I can give them is my best, and I will continue to do that. I submit them to you now, and rededicate myself to the task You have placed before me. The outcome rests securely in your hands."

Wet Washing, Chocolate Cravings And A Trip To Boston

Its been raining here for about four days now and I am playing the washing lottery. I'm sure someone up in the clouds is having a laugh at my expense. The washing goes out, the washing comes in and so on. Just when I think its dry I got out and in the time its took me to fetch the basket and my shoes its raining again and we are back to square one. Still never mind..........

I am starting the online diet today and already I am craving chocolate - absolutely crazy I mean I never have chocolate for breakfast - psychological I guess.

Karls gone to Boston today for a week on business. I will miss him so much and cannot help but wonder what the week will bring as everytime he goes away we seem to have some sort of adventure / catastrophe while he's away.

Well thats my update for now - not very exciting but life just the same.

Wishing everyone a nice weekend.

Its Online Diet Time

Just lately I have been feeling so down about gaining the baby weight and not losing it that I have bit the bullet and enrolled on an online diet plan. It is costing me £2.99 a week for 10 weeks and I am hoping by having to log my progress it will give me the 'kick up the backside' that I really need to do this.

I have worked out a fitness plan on it which involves toning exercises and walking as I do not attend a gym, nor do I want to.

I have eating plans that seem to fit in with our lifestyle so all I need now is the willpower and determination to see this through.

Oh My Goodness August Already

I haven't really posted in a while - I've dedicated poems to my dad and found things to post from the Internet but I haven't really done family stuff.

The twins have now left their middle school and will be starting senior school in September. They had a lovely end of year and were thrilled to go to a prom at the school. A three course meal, the red carpet and a disco and karaoke night made the evening complete. Charlotte did their hair and they wore dresses for the evening which for my two tomboys made a real change. They looked absolutely beautiful.
I hope you have a lovely summer holiday wherever you are and I have made a pact with myself to record more of our familys happenings.
